| Descripción del viñedo | "Only one quality, the very first" Madame Clicquot. In 1772, Philippe Clicquot founded a wine trade company : “Clicquot”. His son Francis, who headed the company, died in 1805. Madame Nicole Barbe Ponsardin, his young widow, took over the trade company. In 1810, the House took its name of Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin, prestigious house internationally known and admired today. Madame Clicquot was a visionary woman. She was nicknamed "La Grande Dame de la Champagne", “the great lady of the Champagne”. The values of Madame Clicquot remain intact today through the house Veuve Clicquot, prestigious brand of the largest French luxury group, LVMH.
