| Descripción del viñedo | Château Doisy Daëne :
A Sauternes accessible…even young! This Château from Barsac, takes its name from: Doisy, its shire and Daëne the name of the owner, Jean Jacques Emmanuel Daëne, who was a trader at Bordeaux during the nineteenth century. Between 1875 and 1924, many owners have succeeded each others. In 1924, George Dubordieu has bought the Château Doisy Daëne and since then, the family has remained the owner of the château. Pierre Dubordieu has given its current size to the château, by buying a few parcels from the château Doisy Dubroca. Doisy Daëne wines’ are known for being powerful, fresh, at excellent value and accessible very young. (This is relatively rare for the wines of Sauternes and of Barsac) Château Doisy Daëne produces 3 wines: Château Doisy Daëne, Barsac, ranked as second cru; Château Doisy Daëne, great dry white wine; and L'Extravagant de Doisy Daëne, Sauternes, a special blend produced only when the vintage allows it. Those wines are produced on 15 hectares of vineyards, made of sémillon, sauvignon and muscadelle. |
